ACT Malaysia has finalized its appointment as the official proofreader for the Bisayan translation of the Holy Qur'an following a strategic meeting with Nasyrul Qur'an and Yayasan Restu. Bisaya is the most-spoken native language in the Philippines, serving approximately 30 million people.
Additionally, Nasyrul Qur'an has committed to printing the Maguindanaon translation of the Holy Qur'an early next year, with layout design scheduled to begin immediately. Prepared by ACT Malaysia and supported by the Rowwad Translation Centre, this translation is currently accessible digitally via Quranenc.com. Hard copies will soon be available through the partnership with Nasyrul Qur'an.

ACT Malaysia and its partner Nuqra Care Brunei continue to reach out to communities without access to running water in Maguindanao, Philippines. The waqaf water well project immediately improves the quality of life of many families by providing clean water for household use. To date, Nuqra Care has funded over 350 water wells in Mindanao.

An orphanage in Maguindanao, which is also a Qur'an memorization center, was gifted with rice. Markadz Norul Aytam located in Semba, SPDA, Datu Odin Sinsuat Maguindanao, BARMM, Philippines, received 7 sacks of rice equivalent to 175 kilos of rice under "Rice Gifts" project for orphans and tahfiz students.

On 8 June 2026, South Cotabato and neighboring areas in Mindanao were hit by a strong earthquake destroying many properties and infrastructure. ACT Malaysia focused to help a community in Lake Sebu by repairing and upgrading its masjid-Masjid Abdulrahman Lamon. The masjid's tower and roof are being rebuilt. A new 2-door toilet is under construction and a terrace will be added beside the masjid. When all the construction is done, the masjid will be given a fresh coat of paint.

On 8 June 2026, a major earthquake with magnitude (MW) 7.8 rocked Sarangani and surrounding provinces (Southern Philippines), leaving at least 35 dead, 200 injured and infrastructure extensively damaged.
ACT Malaysia focused its effort on rehabilitating a mosque in Lake Sebu where many of ACT's activities are held. Masjid Abdulrahman Lamon in Lembuan, Poblacion, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato had its tower and roof caved in during the earthquake.
Thanks to your donations, the mosque is now being fixed and will be usable again in the near future.

Fasting on the day of Arafah is a highly recommended practice done on 9th of Dhul-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar, which is the day before Eid al-Adha. ACT Malaysia's Qurban program in Mindanao, the "Qurban for Humanity and Solidarity" @ QHS 1447/2026 concluded with 29 cows and 12 goats distributed. Activities were held from 27 and 28 of May (Eidul Adha and First Day of Tashreek). Meat were distributed to 9 locations in Maguindanao, Cotabato City, and South Cotabato to needy communities, mualaf and orphans.
